Facade
From the street, the upper level reads as a single operable screen — vertical posts, horizontal slats — floating over a quieter ground floor of vertical hardwood battens and planted edges.
Entry
A short concrete path lifts you up off the gravel courtyard to a tall hardwood entry door, set into a wall of vertical cladding.
Interior
Exposed beams and a hardwood ceiling carry through living, dining and circulation. A single deep green grounds the dining wall and the joinery; everything else stays soft — polished concrete, linen, travertine.
Overview
Private residence on Bangalow Road, Byron Bay. A subtropical hardwood house — operable timber louvre screens to the upper level, a quieter ground-floor base of vertical battens and gravel courtyards. Inside, exposed hardwood ceilings and beams sit against deep green joinery, polished concrete floors and travertine.
Credits
Hardwood everywhere it matters — louvres, ceilings, beams, joinery — paired with concrete, travertine, and a single deep green.
