Field House

Ewingsdale, NSW · 2024

Henry's own home. Ewingsdale, NSW.

Exterior

Set low into the field

A barn, settled into the paddock. Spotted gum on every surface that meets the weather — eight thousand lineal metres of it. The form is simple. The detail is not.

Interior

Quiet rooms, built once

Inside, the timber continues — softened by linen, lime plaster, and morning light. Rooms hold their quiet. Joinery is built once, properly, and left to age.

Landscape & Site

Four thousand square metres of paddock

The house sits within the land, not on top of it. Olive's planting will take a decade to settle in. That's the point.
